Dr. Steven Elliott will be adding canine rehabilitation in the near future.  We will be able to offer low impact exercise with an underwater treadmill.  We will also offer other rehabilitation activities to help your pet after orthopedic surgery or with other medical conditions.  We will give you more information on this exciting new addition to our services in the coming months.

Best Care Animal Hospital is excited to add “doggie suites” in their new facility.  Our “doggies suites” will be nicely decorated bedrooms for your four legged loved one.  All suites will have raised beds with nice soft bedding for their comfort.   Our suites can be converted into a 2 or 3 room suite for those larger families to be accommodated.  Like all fine hotels, you will be able to upgrade your room or add some room service items for their comfort such as a television in their room, internet camera access so you can check in on them, Frosty Paws ice cream, Busy Buddy toys stuffed with cream cheese or peanut butter to keep them occupied, exercise time on the treadmill, or a day or more at our doggie day camp.  Your loved one may never want to leave!

We will also be adding more standard kennel space than what we were able to supply previously.

Our “Kitty Suites” will be upstairs away from the hustle & bustle of the daily operations of the hospital.  We will offer your feline loved one a choice between a suite and a regular room.  Your special friend will be about to get out and climb on our kitty exercise tree or just sit on the window seat and watch the birds and butterflies play.

Doggie Day Camp will be added when we open next door.  You will be able to leave your canine loved one with us in the morning for some “group” playtime with other nice, friendly “campers” along with games supervised by our “camp counselors”.  Our new facility will accommodate activities outside or inside if the weather is not cooperating.  Your camper will come home ready for some relaxation time with Mom & Dad before bed.

Watch our new building go up:

Animal Care Center, Best Care, and Country Oaks are now offering behavior consultations to our clients and community.  We realize how much time it can take to assist our clients in resolving their pet’s behavior issues, so we have set aside time and space to do just that.  A behavior consultation takes approximately one to one and a half hours, whether in our office or as a house-call.  During a consultation, we will assess the pet’s behavior issues and establish a retraining plan with the owner.  Our goal is to correct inappropriate behavior and encourage positive interactions between pets and people.

Amanda Miller has been a certified veterinary technician since 1997.  She has also done extensive study into dog and cat behavior, training, and problem solving.  She has been with Animal Care Center since February of 2003.  She has developed this program for our clinics to make sure that our patients’ behavior issues are being handled as conscientiously as their medical care.  Amanda can be reached at Animal Care Center for questions and appointments.  We encourage our clients to use this new service and let us know how their pets progress.

Volunteers are welcomed at Best Care Animal Hospital. We have many pets in our care and we love that we can have additional help in giving them extra attention while with us. We want their stay with to be as positive as possible. If you are interested in a volunteer position, please contact Michelle or Heather at our office.

Please note : Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age due to insurance restrictions. If you know someone interested in spending time with animals or is interested in a career with animals, have them call Heather for volunteer opportunities.
