Dr. Sara Anderson -

Sara graduated from The Ohio State University in 2005. She joined private practice after completing an internship at a mixed animal hospital in eastern Ohio.  Her interests include behavior, dermatology and internal medicine.  A native of Pittsburgh, Sara is an avid Steeler fan!

Dr. Heather Brownell -  
After working for 10 years as a surgical technician at Colorado State University Veterinary School, she graduated with her DVM in 2003. She joined private practice after serving a one year internship at Florida Veterinary Specialist. Heather and her husband Joe have a daughter Grace and two Labradors – Luke and Foster

 

Dr. Carlos Campos 

Carlos graduated from the University of Florida in 2002. His focus is on all small animals. He comes to us with an interest in computers also, so he will help us stay on the cutting edge of technology in that area. Carlos is fluent in Spanish, so don't be shy to test his native language skills! Carlos is at Country Oaks Animal Hospital.

Dr. Carla Channell - 

Carla graduated from the University of Florida in 2006.  Most of her patients are dogs and cats, but she also enjoys seeing pocket pets, reptiles, and other exotics.  Her interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and supporting the Human-Animal Bond.  She has several four legged "kids" of her own: a dog, two cats, and a leopard tortoise.  Carla mainly practices at Best Care Animal Hospital.

 


Dr. Steven Elliott
  - 

Steven graduated from Iowa State in 1995. He enjoys treating cats, dogs, and some exotic and pocket pets alike. Medically, he enjoys orthopedic surgery and internal medicine as well as ultrasound. Dr. Elliott's wife is a veterinary surgeon at a local referral practice. When not working, Steven is usually fishing, golfing or getting familiar with what Florida has to offer.  

 

 

Dr. John Golphin

John is a graduate of Michigan State University which is his home state. His medical interests are broad, including preventive medicine, surgery, internal medicine and diagnostic medicine. He has taken a liking to feline internal medicine (he has two great cats of his own). He keeps busy outside the clinic playing hockey, basketball and especially roller-blading all around Pasco, Pinellas and our neighboring counties.

 

 

Dr. David Griffin

Dave graduated from the University of Florida in 1992. He treats cats, dogs, and some of our more exotic patients such as ferrets, rabbits, and hedgehogs and big cats. His specialty is orthopedic surgical procedures and ultrasound. Dave enjoys golfing and fishing, although he stays busy at home with his family including his wife and three young children.

Dr. Kenneth Reeves –
 

Ken is looking forward to his 40th Colorado State University Reunion next year. After practicing in Colorado for 35 years he has been in Florida for 3 years. His interests are geriatrics and behavior. He and his wife Kate share their house with a spoiled cat named Josie, Earl the squirrel, and three lovebirds.

 

Dr. Courtney Riley - 

Courtney graduated from the University of Florida in 2007. She comes to us with an interest in Theriogenology and Behavior. Her one hobbie is spending time with her wonderful Italian greyhounds, Napoleon, Nellie and Echo. Her time will be shared between Country Oaks and Animal Care Center.

 


Dr. Robert Wehr
-Retired

Bob graduated from Purdue University in 1974 and has been practicing in the Pinellas / Pasco area since. Although he treats all breeds of cats and dogs, he has quite a long list of bulldogs coming to see him from all across the state. Outside the clinic, he enjoys long-distance running including marathons and ultra-marathons. Dr. Wehr just had a big accomplishment when he completed marathons in all 50 states. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He has also conquered the Appalachian trail.  Here is a link to his trail journal.
